Production Music

In May 2000, the UK Chinese Ensemble released a new CD, Music From China, catalogue number CHAP-WR9, recorded by Zomba Production Music and distributed by Chappell Recorded Music Library. It contains a wide variety of traditional literati and folk music including solo, ensemble, vocal, opera and percussion, all performed by the UK Chinese Ensemble.

This is not a recording you can buy in the shops. It is production music. Production music is a resource for makers of films, theatrical productions etc., who need a library of good quality recorded material. The idea is that the material is distributed free of charge, and payment is made when material from it is used in a production.

Information on how to obtain the CD, and the conditions under which it is to be used, are available on the Zomba Production Music web site at http://www.zpm.co.uk.
